All month in this space we’ve been talking about moms and military spouses working from home. We’ve experienced awesome interviews, shared tips, and gave you many uplifting quotes to hang up on your wall.
But now it’s down to one more thing: DON’T GIVE UP.
You are pulled in so many directions all day long. Just fitting in a minute to read this might be a stretch on your time constraints. The to-do list is never ending, and with everything else you are holding up on your shoulders, you must also do it well. You must remember somehow to tune in and take the time with your children, spouse, and family for it is fleeting. We’re not getting any younger, and at this point in most of our lives- we’re working the school/job/family/kids/parents/health GRIND. Did you also remember that you are supposed to take time for you? Yes of course! Add that to the list.
It’s enough to make us want to pull the covers over our head and not get out of bed.
But you must. You must because you are the one you that can do this. You are unique in this life, and you are counted on.
It is a delightfully heavy burden to be needed.
If you are sitting and reading this today- Uplifting Anchor is willing you forward. I know some days it just sucks. It’s hard and life piles up and disasters strike. My mother told me when I became pregnant, “the woman’s job is never done.”
She was right. It will be a fine day where I feel “done” and that will most likely be when I am dead. Are you in that place too? Until then, it is fine work we do. We are moving our families forward;, and ourselves one step at a time. We don’t give up, we do not quit.
Let’s be with each other, lean on one another, and somehow we can keep going.
Remember in the process of all the work- you continue to be ENOUGH.
